The West Allegheny School District is alerting high school visitors to new traffic patterns on the campus because of renovations to the auditorium. Effective Monday, February 9, 2009, the circular driveway at the main entrance to the building will be closed. 

 

A temporary bus loop will be implemented at the main entrance of the gymnasium lobby to accommodate student arrivals and departures. The gymnasium lobby will also serve as the main entrance to the high school until further notice. Therefore, students arriving late for school should be dropped off at the gymnasium entrance. 

 

Visitor parking will be available near the cafeteria entrance during normal school hours. However, no parking will be permitted in this area when buses are arriving in the morning (7:15-7:35 a.m.) and leaving in the afternoon (2:00 - 2:35 pm). 

 

The temporary loop will also reduce the number of parking spaces between the high school and middle school. However, this temporary inconvenience is necessary to reap the long-term benefits of a remodeled and expanded auditorium for students, staff, and the community when the renovations are complete.
